Quality ConstructionUnlike other switches, the ICON Dimmer Switch offers the natural feel of well-built dimmers. You'll love the crisp, tactile response with each touch instead of the mushy feeling of other brands. The amber LED indicates the current on/off status of the lights being controlled. The ICON Dimmer Switch is designed and manufactured to high-end specifications and goes through over 10 quality control tests before arriving at your doorstep. This Decora-style switch will blend with any room's look. A white paddle is preinstalled on each ICON Dimmer Switch, but additional paddle colors are available and sold separately. Choose the color that best suits your room's decor: Almond, Black, Brown, or Grey. Two paddles are included in each color-change set. Don't forget to order a matching wall plate.
Brightness LevelsYou can adjust the brightness level of the controlled lamp locally by pressing and holding the top or bottom of the ICON Dimmer Switch. This is especially helpful when you want to create a theatrical experience when watching your favorite movie. You can also adjust the brightness remotely by using a controller that sends signals to brighten or dim the light. Now you won't even have to leave the comfort of your couch to dim the light: Your tabletop ControLinc can be placed within arm's reach and plugged into any outlet. When you turn on the ICON Dimmer Switch, it automatically comes on to full brightness. Setting the preset on level will make the dimmer stop at your preferred choice of 32 brightness levels. This is a great feature for your home theater to improve TV viewing. An amber LED indicates the current status of the light being controlled. When the ICON Dimmer is turned off, the amber LED illuminates to help with finding the switch in the dark.
Create Multi-Way CircuitsThe ICON Dimmer Switch allows you to customize your lighting setup no matter how your house is wired. It's simple to create a 3-, 4-, or 5-way circuit. First replace all of the existing switches you want to include in the circuit with ICON Dimmer Switch. The main dimmer must be connected to the standard wires: load, line, neutral, and ground. The secondary dimmers only need to be connected to line, neutral, and ground. No traveler wires are needed, so it is easy to place one of the dimmers wherever you need it. Cross-linking all of the companion dimmers to the master dimmer is the last step in the process for a flexible, fully functional multi-way circuit. Note: anytime the ICON Dimmer Switch are placed direct adjacent to one another, you must subtract 50 watts of capacity from each dimmer. If three dimmers are adjacent to one another, then 100 watts must be subtracted from the capacity of the center dimmer. If more capacity is needed, start out with the higher-rated SwitchLinc V2 Dimmer 600W or the SwitchLinc V2 Dimmer 1000W.
Scene Lighting Scenes allow you to control multiple lights, rooms or even the whole home with a single command. Because the ICON Dimmer Switch can be a member of 30 scenes (i.e. "Sleep Time," "Movie Time," "Romance," etc.), you'll be able to launch various lighting scenarios with a single button press. These are elegant features usually found only in systems costing tens of thousands of dollars and requiring extensive rewiring of your home. All linked lights can brighten or dim to your independently preset brightness levels. So one set of lights can dim while another set turns off instantly, all controlled with one command from one button. If you want to control multiple scenes for one controller, upgrade to the KeypadLinc V2 Dimmer.
CompatibilityICON Dimmer Switch is INSTEON compatible and X10 ready. Homeowners with existing X10 networks can easily migrate to an INSTEON network without having to discard all their existing X10 devices. X10 ready means that it can respond to X10 commands from an X10 controller and it can send X10 commands to X10 devices. Please note that INSTEON devices repeat INSTEON signals but not X10. The ICON dimmer is not X10 scene compatible.
Slim DesignSimilar dimmers are up to 50 percent deeper than the ICON Dimmer Switch. Thanks to its slim design, it makes installation easy even in small junction boxes.
Static MemoryAll ICON Dimmer Switch settings are stored in static memory and are not lost during power failures. Additionally, in the event of a power loss, the ICON Dimmer Switch will return to its last brightness level when power is restored.
Certifications and WarrantyAll ICON products are safety approved. The factory for SmartLabs Design Products is ISO9002 certified. In order to meet the ISO 9002 standards, the entire factory underwent rigorous inspections of procedures and policies before being certified. The certification received was based on its dedication to high-quality management systems and strict adherence of quality control systems and guidelines. Because of this, Smarthome stands behind the entire ICON line of products with a full 1-year warranty.

Mounts in single or multiple-ganged junction box. Control 50 W less load for each immediately adjacent electronic dimmer switch installed. For example, 300 W load control becomes 250 W with another Icon Dimmer Switch to the immediate right or left. Use a triple-gang box with a mechanical switch in the center to avoid de-rating. |
