Increase home security and let visitors in more easily with these electric door strikes designed specifically for deeper, Schlage-brand locks. These Door Strikes replace your existing strike plate with an electro-mechanical release mechanism. Simply wire one in series with a low-voltage push-button switch, an X10 Universal Module or the relay release of an intercom system, and your visitors will be able to push or pull the door open when power is applied. You can also connect them to a keypad, alarm system or other entry system.

Schlage-compatible door strikes are available in two models:

Standard Schlage-Compatible Door Strike (#5190S) — This model can be powered with either 8-16VAC (250mA) or 3-6VDC (900mA). When operating off AC power, the door strike will produce a buzzing sound while power is applied. When operating off DC power, a gentle 'click' is heard.

12-Volt Schlage-Compatible Door Strike (#5190S12) — This model is designed ideally for 12VDC power, although we were able to make it work from as little as 8VDC. In this configuration, the strike draws about 400mA and produces a gentle 'click' sound when triggered.

Both versions are reversible for left- or right-handed doors. Once installed, the door can still be operated using a key. Both strikes remain locked when un-powered. Polished brass finish. Face dimensions: 1 5/8" x 3 1/2". Case dimensions: 1" x 1 7/8" x 3".
